Dungeon Meshi's second season will premiere in October 2027 as part of Japan's fall anime season. An exact release date has not yet been announced and is expected to be revealed only a few weeks before the premiere.

While fans wait for its return, the series has unveiled Kuji Collection Volume 3, a merchandise line featuring visuals inspired by chess pieces. The collection includes a new illustration of the main characters, along with items such as an A4 acrylic board, smaller B2 tapestries dedicated to individual characters, keychains and pins.

The tapestries feature the characters dressed in keeping with the collection's theme. The products will be available in Japan for a limited time, with no confirmation of distribution in other countries.

Based on the manga written and illustrated by Ryoko Kui, Dungeon Meshi premiered in 2024, a decade after the original work began publication. The series was renewed for a second season shortly after the first season ended.

Netflix holds exclusive rights to the anime, and the new episodes are expected to be released on the platform. Details on the cast, English dubbing and episode schedule are still expected to be announced closer to the premiere.

The first season adapted 52 manga chapters across 24 episodes. Since the manga concluded in 2023 with Chapter 97, the next batch of episodes could make significant progress toward the story's ending. If it retains a two-cour format, the series could conclude in the first quarter of 2028.

The continuation picks up with the search to save Falin. Before taking Laios and his group deeper into the dungeon, the season is expected to adapt the three-chapter First Floor Interlude arc, which marks the transition to even more powerful threats.
