About Knights of Thorn

Knights of Thorn, Creature — human knight, designed by Christopher Rush first released in Aug, 1994 in the set The Dark and was printed exactly in 2 different ways.

The Knights of Thorn card would be beneficial in a white-based aggressive deck aiming to control the battlefield with protection from red while utilizing banding to manipulate combat scenarios effectively. However, in more competitive Magic: the Gathering environments, there are likely better options available for a 3 mana cost creature, such as Serra Avenger or Mirran Crusader, which have more impactful abilities and offer stronger overall value, making it less likely for Knights of Thorn to see play in top-tier decks.

Rules

10/01/08

Creatures in the same band must all attack the same player or planeswalker.

10/01/08

If a creature with banding attacks, it can team up with any number of other attacking creatures with banding (and up to one nonbanding creature) and attack as a unit called a “band.” The band can be blocked by any creature that could block a single creature in the band. Blocking any creature in a band blocks the entire band. If a creature with banding is blocked, the attacking player chooses how the blockers’ damage is assigned.
