About Aether Poisoner

Aether Poisoner, Creature — human artificer, designed by Yongjae Choi first released in Jan, 2017 in the set Aether Revolt and was printed exactly in 2 different ways.

Aether Poisoner would be a great addition to a black-based aggro or midrange deck in Magic: the Gathering, especially one that focuses on generating and utilizing energy counters. Its ability to create Servo tokens can provide additional board presence and pressure, while its deathtouch ability makes it a strong deterrent for opponents' creatures. While there may be more powerful cards available, Aether Poisoner's versatility and synergy with energy-focused strategies make it a solid choice for decks looking to maintain board control and apply consistent pressure.

Energy counters aren’t mana. They don’t go away as steps, phases, and turns end, and effects that add mana “of any type” to your mana pool can’t give you energy counters.

Keep careful track of how many energy counters each player has. You may do so by keeping a running count on paper, by using a die, or by any other clear and mutually agreeable method.

Some triggered abilities state that you “may pay” a certain amount of . You can’t pay that amount multiple times to multiply the effect. You simply choose whether or not to pay that amount of as the ability resolves, and no player may take actions to try to stop the ability’s effect after you make your choice.
