Billie Eilish brings 3D tour to Paramount+ in August

Billie Eilish is bringing her latest tour to streaming. Paramount+ announced that “Billie Eilish — Hit Me Hard And Soft: The Tour (Live)” premieres on the platform on August 6.

Released in theaters on May 8, the concert film has already grossed $10 million in the United States and Canada, in addition to $27 million worldwide. The project was co-directed by the singer herself alongside James Cameron.

Filmed during Billie Eilish’s sold-out headlining tour, the feature brings together footage from performances in two arenas: one in Manchester, England, and another in Phoenix, Arizona. This is the artist’s third concert film.

[m]The production uses 3D virtual reality technology, developed in partnership with Meta Platforms and Cameron’s Lightstorm Vision.[/m] The aim is to bring viewers at home closer to the feeling of being present at the shows.

The setlist features live performances of songs that have marked Eilish’s discography, including “bad guy,” “Happier Than Ever,” “Birds of a Feather,” and “when the party’s over.” Also included is “What Was I Made For?”, a song from Greta Gerwig’s film Barbie.

Before this release, Billie starred in “Happier Than Ever: A Love Letter to Los Angeles,” a 2021 film directed by Robert Rodriguez and Patrick Osborne. In 2023, “Billie Eilish: Live at the O2,” directed by Sam Wrench, was released.

Paramount+ also features other music titles in its catalog, including films, series, and documentaries dedicated to artists such as Eminem, Alicia Keys, Cyndi Lauper, and Elvis Presley. The news was reported by Variety.
