Alone at Dawn, Ron Howard's new film starring Anne Hathaway, Adam Driver and Betty Gilpin, is set to open in U.S. theaters on December 25, 2027.The film is adapted from the 2019 book of the same name by Dan Schilling and Lori Chapman Longfritz. It tells the true story of John A. Chapman, a U.S. Air Force combat controller.Anne Hathaway stars alongside Adam Driver and Betty Gilpin. The film brings together Oscar winner Hathaway, the two-time Oscar nominee, and the actress who won the Emmy for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series.Following its initial Christmas Day release, Alone at Dawn is set to expand on January 7. It is expected to open wide over the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday weekend, from January 14 to 17.The release schedule places the drama in a window traditionally used by major releases in the North American market. American Sniper, a film with similar characteristics, also performed well during a year-end release period.Before taking on Alone at Dawn, Hathaway will have another film hitting theaters. Verity, an adaptation of a work by Colleen Hoover, opens on October 2.
