Vela the Night-Clad, Legendary creature — human wizard, designed by Allen Williams first released in May, 2020 in the set Planechase 2012 and was printed exactly in 7 different ways. It see play in 1 formats: Commander.
Vela the Night-Clad would be a great addition to a deck focused on controlling the board and draining your opponents' life. Decks that utilize a lot of creatures leaving and entering the battlefield, such as sacrifice or flicker strategies, would benefit greatly from her ability to trigger life loss upon creatures leaving the battlefield. However, there may be better options depending on the specific strategy of the deck, such as Kokusho, the Evening Star for a more direct life drain effect, but Vela still has potential in the right build and could definitely see play in the right meta.
