About Tree of Redemption

Tree of Redemption, Creature — plant, designed by Vincent Proce first released in Sep, 2011 in the set Innistrad and was printed exactly in 3 different ways.

This card, Tree of Redemption, could be beneficial in a deck that focuses on life gain and high toughness creatures. It could be particularly useful in a defensive strategy or a deck that aims to manipulate life totals for strategic advantage. However, there are potentially better cards for similar effects, such as Wall of Reverence or Sylvan Caryatid, which offer more consistent and versatile abilities. Whether Tree of Redemption should see play would depend on the specific strategy and synergy of the deck it's included in.

Rules

03/16/18

Any toughness-modifying effects, counters, Auras, or Equipment will apply after its toughness is set to your former life total. For example, say Tree of Redemption is enchanted with Lunarch Mantle (which makes it 2/15) and your life total is 7. After the exchange, Tree of Redemption would be a 2/9 creature (its toughness became 7, which was then modified by Lunarch Mantle) and your life total would be 15.

03/16/18

If Tree of Redemption isn’t on the battlefield when its activated ability resolves, the exchange can’t happen and the ability will have no effect.
