This card, Tainted Strike, would be beneficial in a deck that focuses on quick and aggressive strategies, particularly in decks that aim to win through infect damage. It can be a powerful finisher by giving a creature infect and potentially dealing lethal poison counters to an opponent. However, there are better options like Glistener Elf or Blight Mamba that provide a more consistent infect strategy. Tainted Strike could still see play as a situational combat trick or as a surprise win condition in certain decks.
