Spontaneous Artist, Creature — human rogue, designed by Viktor Titov first released in Sep, 2016 in the set Kaladesh.
Spontaneous Artist would be a good fit in an aggressive red deck looking to apply pressure early in the game. The ability to grant haste to a creature by using energy counters can help push through damage and catch opponents off guard. While there may be more powerful cards available for similar effects, Spontaneous Artist could still see play in decks focused on speed and aggression.

is the energy symbol. It represents one energy counter.

Energy counters aren’t mana. They don’t go away as steps, phases, and turns end, and effects that add mana “of any type” to your mana pool can’t give you energy counters.

Keep careful track of how many energy counters each player has. You may do so by keeping a running count on paper, by using a die, or by any other clear and mutually agreeable method.
