About Shoulder to Shoulder

Shoulder to Shoulder, Sorcery, designed by Chris Rallis first released in Jan, 2016 in the set Oath of the Gatewatch and was printed exactly in 6 different ways.

A white weenie or aggro deck would benefit from including Shoulder to Shoulder, as it provides a quick boost to two creatures while also replacing itself with a card draw. However, there are better options available such as Inspiring Call, which not only provides card draw but also grants all creatures you control hexproof until end of turn, making it a more versatile choice. Shoulder to Shoulder could still see play in certain strategies that rely on +1/+1 counters, but it may not be a top-tier choice in competitive decks.

Rules

01/22/16

If a spell with support has other abilities that target creatures, those abilities and the support ability can target the same creature.

01/22/16

You can’t put more than one +1/+1 counter on any one target using the support action.
