This card, Rock Slide, would be beneficial in a red aggressive deck that focuses on dealing direct damage to creatures. It can be particularly useful against decks with multiple small creatures or token strategies. However, there are better options like Anger of the Gods or Sweltering Suns that provide more efficient board wipes or targeted removal. Rock Slide may not see much play in competitive formats due to its high cost and limited impact compared to other available options.
