About Patron of the Orochi

Patron of the Orochi, Legendary creature — spirit, designed by Christopher Moeller first released in Feb, 2005 in the set Betrayers of Kamigawa. It's a key card in 2 combos.

This card, Patron of the Orochi, would be beneficial in a ramp or green devotion deck that focuses on generating a lot of mana and untapping lands for explosive plays. While it has a unique ability to untap all Forests and green creatures, it may not be as efficient as other options available in the format, such as Vorinclex, Monstrous Raider, which not only doubles the mana produced by lands but also hinders opponents' resources. However, for a more casual or thematic deck centered around snakes or untapping synergies, Patron of the Orochi could definitely see play.

Rules

02/01/05

Patron of the Orochi’s ability untaps nonbasic lands that are also Forests (such as some of the Revised dual lands) and multicolored creatures that are also green.
