About Lotus Vale

Lotus Vale, Land, designed by John Avon first released in Jun, 1997 in the set Weatherlight. It's a key card in 11 combos.

A deck that focuses on ramping up mana quickly, such as a green ramp deck or a combo deck that requires a lot of mana, would benefit from using Lotus Vale. While Lotus Vale can provide a significant mana boost, it does come with the drawback of sacrificing two untapped lands, which can set you back if not managed carefully. Other cards like Gaea's Cradle or Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx might be considered better options for mana acceleration in certain decks, but Lotus Vale could still see play in specific strategies that can take advantage of its unique abilities.

Rules

04/01/08

If you don’t sacrifice the lands, Lotus Vale never enters the battlefield — it goes directly to your graveyard.
