Kuro, Pitlord, Legendary creature — demon spirit, designed by Jon Foster first released in Oct, 2004 in the set Champions of Kamigawa and was printed exactly in 4 different ways.
Kuro, Pitlord could be a strong addition to a mono-black control deck that focuses on attrition and disruption, as its ability to weaken creatures at the cost of life can help control the board. However, there are better options available such as [[Grave Titan]] or [[Grave Pact]] which provide more value and impact on the battlefield without the drawback of sacrificing Kuro every turn. Ultimately, Kuro may not see much play in competitive Magic: The Gathering decks due to its high mana cost and upkeep requirement.
