About Grizzly Fate

Grizzly Fate, Sorcery, designed by Dave Dorman first released in May, 2020 in the set Judgment and was printed exactly in 3 different ways.

A deck that focuses on filling the graveyard quickly, such as a self-mill or graveyard recursion strategy, would benefit from using Grizzly Fate due to its Threshold ability to create additional Bear creature tokens. However, there are potentially better options like Secure the Wastes which provides instant speed token generation without the graveyard requirement, making it more versatile and efficient in a wider range of situations. Grizzly Fate could still see play in specific graveyard-centric decks looking to go wide with Bear tokens, but its effectiveness may be limited compared to other token generation options available.

Rules

03/19/21

A spell cast using flashback will always be exiled afterward, whether it resolves, is countered, or leaves the stack in some other way.

03/19/21

If a card with flashback is put into your graveyard during your turn, you can cast it if it’s legal to do so before any other player can take any actions.

03/19/21

You must still follow any timing restrictions and permissions, including those based on the card’s type. For instance, you can cast a sorcery using flashback only when you could normally cast a sorcery.

04/15/13

At the time this spell is resolving, it is on the stack and not in the graveyard. This means that you should not count this card when determining whether the Threshold effect occurs.
