About Geyserfield Stalker

Geyserfield Stalker, Creature — elemental, designed by Deruchenko Alexander first released in May, 2020 in the set Battle for Zendikar.

A deck that focuses on landfall triggers and aggressive strategies would benefit from using Geyserfield Stalker, as it can quickly become a powerful threat with its potential for increased power and toughness. However, there are potentially better cards for similar strategies, such as Tarmogoyf or Scavenging Ooze, which offer more consistent value and impact on the board. Geyserfield Stalker could see play in more budget or casual decks, but may not be a top choice for competitive play.

Rules

08/25/15

A landfall ability triggers whenever a land enters the battlefield under your control for any reason. It triggers whenever you play a land, as well as whenever a spell or ability puts a land onto the battlefield under your control.

08/25/15

If the ability has an additional or replacement effect that depends on the land having a certain basic land type, the ability will check that land’s type as the ability resolves. If, at that time, the land that entered the battlefield is no longer on the battlefield, use its types when it left the battlefield to determine what happens.
