About Droning Bureaucrats

Droning Bureaucrats, Creature — human advisor, designed by Kev Walker first released in Feb, 2006 in the set Guildpact.

This card would be beneficial in a control or prison-style deck that aims to lock down the opponent's creatures and control the battlefield. While Droning Bureaucrats can be effective in certain situations, there are potentially better cards like Ghostly Prison or Sphere of Safety that provide a more consistent and powerful effect in preventing attacks. Ultimately, the decision to include Droning Bureaucrats in a deck would depend on the specific strategy and synergy within the deck, but it may not see widespread play in competitive Magic: The Gathering formats.

Rules

02/01/06

Creature lands and most token creatures have converted mana cost 0. If a creature on the battlefield has in its mana cost, treat X as 0.

02/01/06

Droning Bureaucrats’s ability affects all creatures with converted mana cost equal to exactly X, regardless of whether they were on the battlefield at the time the ability resolved. For example, if the ability resolves with an X of 4, then Giant Solifuge is put onto the battlefield, the Solifuge can’t attack or block that turn.
