About Daring Buccaneer

Daring Buccaneer, Creature — human pirate, designed by Jason Rainville first released in Jan, 2018 in the set Rivals of Ixalan.

A deck focused on pirate tribal synergies in Magic: the Gathering would benefit from including Daring Buccaneer, as it provides an efficient early-game threat that can be cast for a low cost by revealing a Pirate card from your hand. However, there are better options available, such as Siren Stormtamer, which offers more versatility and protection for your creatures. While Daring Buccaneer can be a solid inclusion in a pirate-themed deck, it may not be a top-tier choice compared to other options available.

Rules

01/19/18

If an effect refers to a “[subtype] spell” or “[subtype] card,” it refers only to a spell or card that has that subtype. For example, March of the Drowned is a card that benefits Pirates and features Pirates in its illustration, but it isn’t a Pirate card.
