Chronatog Avatar, Vanguard, designed by UDON first released in Jan, 2003 in the set Magic Online Avatars.
This card would be beneficial in a control deck that focuses on drawing and maintaining card advantage. While Chronatog Avatar offers the advantage of drawing three cards at the cost of skipping a turn, there are better options like Jace, the Mind Sculptor or Teferi, Time Raveler that provide card advantage without the drawback of skipping a turn. Therefore, Chronatog Avatar may not see much play in competitive Magic: The Gathering decks due to its high cost and downside.
