A deck that focuses on graveyard interaction, such as a reanimator or self-mill strategy, could benefit from including Carrion Rats. However, there are better cards that offer similar effects with more impactful abilities, such as Scavenging Ooze or Tormod's Crypt. Carrion Rats may not see much play in competitive decks due to its limited impact compared to other graveyard hate options available in Magic: The Gathering.
