The eighth season of Corrida das Blogueiras premiered to a record 123,000 devices watching simultaneously, the show's biggest opening audience to date. In São Paulo, more than 2,500 people watched the competition kick off at a party at Áudio Club, alongside fans, contestants, judges and guests. In an interview with PapelPop, creators Eduardo Camargo and Fih Oliveira discussed the show's growth and how they have kept it fresh. Eduardo said neither of them imagined the project would become this big when it began. For Fih, keeping up with changes in the work of online content creators is part of the show's identity. That evolution is reflected in the challenges. Fih recalled that early seasons featured makeup, photography, editing, outfit design and hot-glue projects. The tools available were different, as was the work bloggers did. Eduardo acknowledged that the format has changed considerably since the first season, but said its willingness to take risks has remained. The judges also reflected on the show's journey. Nátaly Neri credited the creators' involvement with helping Corrida das Blogueiras retain its identity. Lorelay Fox pointed to Diva Depressão's attention to online trends as part of what keeps the competition fresh. For Eduardo, the show's reach beyond YouTube is another sign of that growth. He said meeting viewers on the street has helped him see how much the audience has expanded. The new season begins amid that momentum and the show's first national tour, which also aims to help fund Corrida 9.
