Focus Features has released a new teaser for The Uprising, an epic starring Andrew Garfield. The video also unveils the film's full title: The Uprising: The Rise of Robin Hood, confirming that the production will retell the classic legend of the honorable thief.

In the film, Garfield plays Robin Hood, described as the legendary leader of a fierce rebellion against the tyranny of King Richard II. As war devastates England, he raises an army of ordinary people to challenge the monarch's power in a fight for justice and survival.

Paul Greengrass, director of Jason Bourne and The Lost Bus, is directing the film. The cast includes Jamie Bell, Stephen Dillane, Tom Hollander, Cosmo Jarvis, Thomasin McKenzie, Jonny Lee Miller, Woody Norman and Katherine Waterston.

The new film offers a fresh take on the Robin Hood legend. The character was also recently given a darker interpretation in The Death of Robin Hood, starring Hugh Jackman.

Jason Blum will produce through Blumhouse alongside Gregory Goodman, Joanna Kaye and Greengrass himself.

The Uprising: The Rise of Robin Hood will open in U.S. theaters on September 11.
