The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time will receive an updated version for Nintendo Switch 2 on November 5. The remake celebrates the franchise’s 40-year history with visual and technical enhancements to the adventure starring Link.The new edition will feature revamped visuals, fully voiced scenes, expanded character dialogue and a symphonic orchestral score. The camera and motion controls have also been reworked, while the game’s performance and overall presentation will be improved.Interacting with the ocarina will be one of the new features. Within range of the Nintendo Switch 2’s built-in microphone, players will be able to sing or hum one of the melodies Link has learned. The character will then play the corresponding song in the game.The aim is to present a version of Hyrule with improved movement and controls, as well as a more immersive atmosphere. The remake also reintroduces Link’s landmark adventure to a new generation of players on Nintendo’s console.Additional information about the features and enhancements in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, as well as the option to preorder the game, is available through the Nintendo Store and Nintendo eShop.The update was announced alongside other Nintendo news for Switch 2. Metroid Ravenous will arrive on January 28, with editions that include different versions of Samus amiibo and a special edition with a metal case. Kirby and the World Beyond will launch in spring 2027 as part of the Kirby series’ 35th anniversary celebrations.The Ocarina of Time remake will launch on Nintendo Switch 2 on November 5.
