The Syndic of Tithes would be a valuable addition to a white-black control deck focused on draining opponents' life totals while gaining life to sustain itself. While Syndic of Tithes offers a consistent drain effect with extort, other cards like [[Basilica Bell-Haunt]] or [[Vampire Nighthawk]] may provide more impactful effects for the same cost, making them potentially better choices depending on the deck's strategy. However, Syndic of Tithes can still be a solid inclusion in a deck aiming for incremental advantage and resource denial, making it a viable option for certain playstyles.
