About Swift Reckoning

Swift Reckoning, Sorcery, designed by Chris Rahn first released in Jul, 2015 in the set Magic Origins and was printed exactly in 3 different ways.

A deck focused on spellslinging or control with a strong graveyard strategy would benefit from Swift Reckoning, especially when running a high density of instant and sorcery cards. However, cards like Path to Exile or Swords to Plowshares might offer more versatile removal options. Whether Swift Reckoning sees play would depend on the specific deck's strategy and metagame considerations.

Rules

12/07/18

If an effect allows you to cast Swift Reckoning from your graveyard, you need two other instant and/or sorcery cards in your graveyard to cast it as though it had flash.

06/22/15

Check to see if there are two or more instant and/or sorcery cards in your graveyard as the spell resolves to determine whether the spell mastery ability applies. The spell itself won’t count because it’s still on the stack as you make this check.
