Arcane was a great mark in League of Legends history, not only because of its impeccable animation style, but also because it expanded the League of Legends universe in ways we never expected. We might not get a direct sequel, but there is a lot to explore in Runeterra, and Riot Games seems determined to make the most out of this potential. Let's dive into the most interesting details revealed in Necrit's broadcast!
The Information
Everything we'll discuss in this article was revealed in Necrit's broadcast, in which he unraveled many themes with one of Arcane's creators. Our goal is to sum up the most important details, and cover information we didn't touch on in previous articles.
Hextech - The Legacy of Piltover
Though the Hexcore was destroyed, the technology itself is still intact. Jayce and Viktor's innovations weren't lost and can return in the future, both the ones that survived, like Caitlyn's rifle, and all their research and notes. This made a few fans speculate about Camille appearing in the series in the future, as, for now, she doesn't have a functional story due to the changes introduced by Arcane itself.
Why is this relevant?
This keeps Piltover on the map as the main center for technological innovation. If Camille is introduced, we can expect fascinating developments that will impact the balance between humans and machines. We've had Viktor, we've had Orianna, and now we may get Camille.
Viktor - The Glorious Evolution Marches On
Viktor left his humanity behind and embraced his Glorious Evolution completely. He became something more, and there are plans for him in the next show. They didn't reveal many details about this character, but it's comforting to know that they won't leave him hanging.
What can we expect?
His return will touch on the ethical dilemmas of technology, and how it redefines humanity. Don't be surprised if Viktor plays a crucial role in future conflicts between science and magic. Furthermore, you can be sure Viktor won't show up to solve unimportant issues.
The Void and the Arcane
The connection between the Void and the Arcane has been a great topic of debate since season 1. After all, all the "pulsating" scenes and the purple organic matter (the color of the Void) in the Hexcore were a bit obvious. Well, it has finally been confirmed. While the Arcane attracts the Void, the series' focal anomaly isn't the Void itself, but something even more mysterious that we'll possibly unravel in another series. It makes sense, considering the series itself stated that each region has their own way of using magic.
Why is this exciting?
The Void is one of the most fearsome foes in Runeterra, capable of destroying even the most powerful empires Runeterra has ever seen. Its relationship with the Arcane may introduce new villains, challenges, and characters, and pave the way for future epic battles. The Void is destined to eventually become the "Big Bad Evil Guy" in Riot's universe.

Jayce and Viktor: Bromance or Something More?
Honestly, when I heard League of Legends would get a TV show, I never imagined I would eventually write about a possible romantic relationship between Viktor and Jayce, but here we are. In the broadcast, it was implied that the relationship between Jayce and Viktor is a bromance, but that the entire show is up to interpretation. Nothing was confirmed or denied.
Why is this relevant?
This might be the best option for the narrative. This duality between friendship and love adds layers to their relationship, and highlights how much they are willing to sacrifice for one another. If they return, Riot Games could explore this dynamic even further.
The Next Series: "The Piano and the Crow"
The next League of Legends show is already in development, and has been for more than a year by now. Considering there were references to "a Piano and a Crow" in the final episodes, it seems like the new series will focus on Jhin and Swain, and explore Ionia and Noxus. Or this might have been just a smokescreen. Ionia may not be confirmed, but Noxus is.
What does this mean?
Prepare yourself for a dark narrative full of tense moments, with many political plots and assassinations. Swain, the leader of Noxus, and Jhin, Ionia's virtuoso, will most likely bring stories that will be more violent than Arcane.
The Expansion of the Runeterra Universe
Besides Noxus, other regions, such as Ionia and Demacia, are being worked on. The House of Medarda was also mentioned, and might become even more relevant in the future. So, we'll most likely see more of Mel, even if it's just a cameo. We might see other Medardas as well, after all, thanks to our dear Legends of Runeterra, we know there are more of them around.
Why is this relevant?
Each new region brings new characters and stories. This expansion means the League of Legends universe will continue to grow in a dynamic, diverse way. And we'll also be able to watch more quality content!
Final Words
Arcane might have ended, but Necrit's broadcast stressed that there's still a lot more to come. The Runeterra universe is still expanding, and will soon bring new stories and characters.
What do you expect to see in the next shows? Which characters or regions do you want to visit? Me, personally - I'm praying we'll get to see Sylas and his revolution in Demacia!
