This card, Species Gorger, would benefit a deck focused on enter-the-battlefield effects or creatures with powerful when this creature enters the battlefield abilities, as it allows you to repeatedly bounce a creature back to your hand to trigger those effects multiple times. However, a better alternative might be Deadeye Navigator, which not only provides a similar effect but also has the added flexibility of blinking any creature for just 4 mana. While Species Gorger may not see widespread play in competitive Magic: The Gathering decks, it could find a home in more casual or theme-based decks that can take advantage of its unique ability.
