Lily James will star in Seasons, a new supernatural thriller produced by James Wan. The film has officially been set for a theatrical release on November 12, 2027. Jack Reynor, known for Midsommar, will co-star alongside her.The story follows a couple who believe they have found the perfect ranch to start a new life. Their hopes of happiness change when they discover that the property is inhabited by ancestral spirits. From there, they face increasingly disturbing rituals at the beginning of each season.The cast also includes Ron Perlman, Elizabeth McGovern, Wes Studi and Dane DiLiegro. Drew Hancock, who wrote and directed Companion, is writing and directing the project.Seasons is based on Old Country, a book published in 2022 by brothers Matt Query and Harrison Query. The story originated online: before becoming a book, it began as a short story written by Matt Query and published on Reddit, where it went viral.James Wan will produce the film through Atomic Monster alongside Michael Clear. Shawn Levy and Dan Levine of 21 Laps are also among the producers, along with Scott Glassgold and Dan Cohen. Wan is known for his work on franchises such as The Conjuring and Saw.The film is part of Lily James' busy schedule, following her recent starring role in Swiped. The actress will also appear in The Liberation, Bad Lieutenant: Tokyo, directed by Takashi Miike, the Cliffhanger reboot and Subversion, an underwater thriller with Chris Hemsworth.Jack Reynor also remains involved in horror. Following Midsommar, he appeared in The Mummy, directed by Lee Cronin, as well as Power Ballad and the second season of Prime Video's Citadel.Featuring a haunted house, folklore, ancestral forces and macabre rituals, Seasons will hit theaters on November 12, 2027.
