1. Avatar: The Last Airbender
The live-action series of Avatar: The Last Airbender will premiere on February 22, 2024, on Netflix. Initially an animated series by Nickelodeon, created by Michael DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko, the animated series debuted in 2005, spanning 61 episodes over 3 seasons.
In addition to its original series, Avatar expanded its universe after its massive success, gaining books, comics, and another animation called Avatar: The Legend of Korra.

In 2010, there was a live-action film directed by M. Night Shyamalan that did not please fans and critics. In 2018, Netflix announced its own live-action series of the work, initially involving the participation of the original creators. However, both left the production in 2020 citing creative differences with Netflix.
The series will adapt the original animation, similar to what was done previously with One Piece. According to Netflix, the production will be an authentic adaptation reimagined as an adventure starring real actors. Check out the series teaser below:
2. The Penguin
Aiming to be a good old-fashioned mafia series, Colin Farrell will reprise his role as Oswald Cobblepot (The Penguin), the villain from the 2022 Batman movie starring Robert Pattinson (Twilight).
The series' story takes place shortly after the events of the 2022 film and will serve as a link to future events in the sequel. The first teaser was revealed in April of last year, and the series officially launches in 2024, with no exact date announced yet.
It is expected that the sequel film is planned to be released in 2025.
3. House of the Dragon - Season Two
Scheduled to be released between June and August 2024 on HBO, it has already been confirmed that it will have 8 episodes, with George R. R. Martin helping in the production of the episodes.
The series serves as a prequel to Game of Thrones, addressing all the conflicts that led House Targaryen to ruin.
The second season will depict the Targaryen Civil War. The Iron Throne is usurped by Aegon II (played by Glynne-Carney), and he is crowned the new King when Viserys had died.

4. The Three-Body Problem
Based on the book of the same name, the series arrives on streaming on March 21 on Netflix. It will mix drama, science fiction, and mystery. Being an adaptation of the Chinese novel, the story begins in the 1960s, during the Cultural Revolution, where a group of people participates in a secret project to communicate with extraterrestrials. The plot follows the Earth nearing an alien invasion.
Produced by Alexander Woo (The Terror: Infamy, True Blood) and led by Benioff and Weiss, with Cinix Liu overseeing, the series features Jovan Adepo (Watchmen), Eiza González (I Care a Lot), Benedict Wong (Doctor Strange), and Liam Cunningham (Game of Thrones).
5. Fallout
As an adaptation of Bethesda's games, the Fallout series arrives on Prime Video on April 12, 2024. Set in a post-apocalyptic world, the series promises to bring the intense universe in a way that pleases both longtime fans and newcomers.

In the games, Fallout is a mix of action, RPG, and adventure where the player controls a survivor of a nuclear apocalypse. Humans, to survive, live in shelters called Vaults.
Produced by the couple Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy (Westworld), the series will also have Todd Howard's assistance in its production, the director of the Fallout franchise games.

6. The Boys - Season Four
The successful Prime Video series based on the comics by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson reaches its fourth season in 2024. Following events in the third season and important elements shown in its spin-off Gen V, the fourth season promises to be filled with more blood, violence, and chaos.
In addition to the iconic characters from the series, we will be introduced to new faces, such as the possible addition of heroes like Cate and Sam, the guardians of Godolkin, whom we know from the Gen V series. In addition to them, many nerds are excited about the new unrevealed character played by Jeffrey Dean Morgan, an actor who has played several memorable roles such as Negan in The Walking Dead, Comedian in Watchmen, and as the father of Dean and Sam Winchester in Supernatural.

7. True Detective - Dark Land
The highly awaited fourth season of True Detective arrives on January 14 on HBO. In this new season, the new detectives will be portrayed by Jodie Foster and Kalis Reis.
The detective duo will be trying to unravel the disappearance of six men at a research station in the Arctic.
The series is known for casting big movie stars, as in the case of the first season, which won five Emmys, had Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson as protagonists investigating a series of seemingly ritualistic murders in Louisiana.
All three previous seasons can be found on HBO Max.
8. The Ones Who Lived
To discover the outcome of Rick and Michonne Grimes, we will receive a series in February dedicated to them and thus find out what happened to the characters after leaving The Walking Dead.
Showing an epic love story between the two in a transformed world and kept apart by distance. We will see both of them waging war against the dead and, especially, the living.
The series is scheduled to premiere on February 25.
9. Invincible (Second Half of Season Two)
Being one of the highlights of Prime Video in November 2023. After four episodes, the series went on hiatus again, with the next episodes arriving only this year. The second season will have a total of 8 episodes.

10. Echo
Known for being a heroine who collaborates with Daredevil, Blade, and the Avengers, Echo gets her own series on Disney+ on January 9th of this year. Being a Spin-Off of Hawkeye, we follow Maya Lopez, a martial arts master who is deaf, capable of perfectly replicating a person's movements.
In the series, we will delve into Maya's story as she returns to her hometown seeking answers about her father's death. In contrast, her adoptive father, the Kingpin, will be on her trail after the end of the Hawkeye series.
11. Criminal History
Set in London, Criminal History will be a suspense series starring Peter Capaldi and Cush Jumbo, two detectives who, due to an anonymous phone call, are led into a confrontation over an old murder case involving a woman at the beginning of her career and a well-connected man.
Its first two episodes will be released on January 10, with new episodes weekly until February 21 on Apple Tv.
12. Ted
After more than a decade since the release of its film, Ted receives a series this year telling his story before the events of the movie. The series is set in 1993, not sparing jokes in the style of slapstick, much like the film.
The plot shows John's trajectory when he was in high school, while Ted seeks to be a student and live in a family of humans.
The series premieres on January 11 on Peacock.
13. Death and Other Details
Hulu's new suspense series premieres on January 16. In the plot, Imogene ends up being in the wrong place and time, becoming the prime suspect in a murder she did not commit.
The cast includes Violett Beane, Mandy Patinkin, Sophia Reid-Gantzert, Linda Emond, Jayne Atkinson, Lauren Patten, Christian Svensson, Hugo Diego Garcia, and Angela Zhou.
14. Arcane - Season Two
Seeking to further expand the League of Legends lore, the series based on the game will receive new episodes in November of this year. Launched by Netflix, Arcane became very popular among game fans and those who had never known the entire storyline behind one of the most played MOBAs today.
In this new season, Vi, Jinx, and Caitlyn will still be the main focus of the story. In addition to the characters we already know from the previous season, new ones are expected to appear in the second season due to the final events of the last episodes, namely Warwick and Urgot.

15. Griselda
Violent and ruthless actions mark the story of Griselda Blanco, a famous Colombian drug trafficker who became known as one of the most powerful women in crime. Responsible for more than two hundred homicides while leading the drug trade between Colombia and Miami, she amassed billions of dollars.
Portrayed by actress Sofia Vergara, the series arrives on Netflix on January 25.
16. X-Men '97
The animation will continue the classic from the 90s. According to Beau DeMayo, the showrunner of the series, he states that it will begin months after the events of the original animation.
In this new animation, Cyclops and Storm will be brought to leadership positions in the group, making the possibility between humans and mutants questionable for Jean, Rogue, and Gambit.
Developed by Marvel Studios for Disney+, X-Men '97 does not yet have a predicted release date.
17. Masters of the Air
The series Masters of the Air tells the story of a squadron of the American Air Force during World War II, tasked with the mission of bombing @@@@ forces. Produced by Steven Spielberg, Tom Hanks, and Gary Goetzman, the historical miniseries explores the challenges and intimacy experienced by the 100th Bombardment Group, known as the Bloody Hundredth. This group strives intensely to defeat the German army in dangerous encounters, occurring at altitudes exceeding 20,000 feet. The series narrative is adapted from the eponymous book written by Donald L. Miller.
Masters of the Air arrives on Apple TV on January 26.
18. Kite Man: Hell Yeah!
In 2024, on HBO Max, the series Kite Man: Hell Yeah! will debut, derived from Harley Quinn. In this production, the title character takes over the management of Noonan's bar, which becomes the meeting point for Gotham's villains. He embarks on this journey alongside his girlfriend, the Golden Skater.
19. Expats
Three American women, living in the same community in Hong Kong, have their distinct stories intertwined. Mercy, a young woman recovering from a serious accident; Hilary, a wealthy woman struggling to have a child, believing it to be the salvation of her marriage; and Margaret, a mother of three, who begins to question her own identity after a terrible loss. This captivating plot will be available starting January 26 on the Prime Video platform.

20. Palm Royale
In the series Mrs. American Pie, based on the book by Juliet McDaniel, we are introduced to Maxine Simmons (Kristen Wiig). She is a woman with the dream of solidifying her status in Palm Beach's high society. However, throughout the plot, Maxine discovers the many conditions necessary to be part of this elitist circle. The story reveals how far people are willing to go to secure a place at the most exclusive table in the United States. Set in the 1970s, the series highlights the struggle of the excluded for an opportunity for success in the club.
