Shawn Mendes made a public declaration to Bruna Marquezine on Tuesday (4), the day the Brazilian actress turned 31. The singer shared an affectionate message during the celebration, held at Casa Amarela Providência, in Morro da Providência, Gamboa, Rio de Janeiro.

The gathering celebrated not only Bruna's birthday, but also that of one of the children who takes part in the project. In his message, Shawn highlighted the actress's importance in his life and referred to her affectionately.

“Happy birthday, baby. You are light and a mother everywhere you go. Not wanting to get too emotional, but you have truly changed my life and I am very grateful for that. I love you very, very, very much. We all love you”

The couple has been together for a few months, but this was the first time the Canadian singer made a post about their relationship. The tribute marked Shawn's first public declaration about Bruna.

The two had already spent the last days of 2025 and the first days of 2026 in São Miguel dos Milagres, accompanied by friends. During this year's Carnival, they were also seen together in Salvador, in moments that caught fans' attention.

Before her relationship with Shawn, Bruna Marquezine had public romances with names such as Neymar, João Guilherme, Enzo Celulari, and Maurício Destri. Mendes, in turn, has had public relationships with Camila Cabello, Hailey Bieber, and Sabrina Carpenter.
