Marvel has officially confirmed a third season of X-Men ’97, set to premiere on Disney+ in 2027. Production is already underway, although no specific release date has been announced.

The confirmation came from Brad Winderbaum, Marvel Studios’ head of television and streaming. According to the executive, the plan is to maintain an annual release schedule for the animated series. Under that plan, a fourth season has also been confirmed and is expected to premiere in 2028.

The gap between the first and second seasons was caused by production issues. According to the producers, that situation is not expected to happen again, supporting hopes that the upcoming episodes will follow the studio’s planned schedule.
