Netflix has released a preview of the K-drama about two young pianists whose talent leads to rivalry, friendship and growth.

Netflix has released the full trailer for Four Hands, Two Sonatas, a Korean series premiering on the platform on August 29. The story follows two young pianists whose paths cross at an elite arts school.

Song Kang plays Kang Bi-o, the top student in his class and a leading contender in the world’s three major piano competitions. He has ranked first both academically and in piano proficiency.

Opposite him is Choi Jeong-yo, played by Lee Jun-young. The young man set his talent aside amid the difficulties he faced with his family, but reconnects with the piano after arriving at Korea Arts School. There, he crosses paths again with the musical genius who had already earned his admiration.

The relationship between the two pianists will be shaped by friendship, love, rivalry and personal growth. The series explores the development of musical prodigies amid the pressure and competition of an institution dedicated to artistic training.

Jang Gyu-ri plays Hong Jae-in, a viola student with musical sensitivity and an ability to recognize melodies. Even so, she struggles to find a piece of music that truly means something to her.

The cast also includes Kim Joo-hun, Yoon Se-ah and Jung Jin-young. Four Hands, Two Sonatas was written by Shin Yi-won and directed by Park Hyun-seok, and will premiere on Netflix on August 29.
