Wildwood

*Wildwood* is an upcoming LAIKA animated fantasy adventure scheduled for release on 29 October 2026. Directed by Travis Knight, the film is based on the novel *Wildwood* by Colin Meloy, with illustrations by Carson Ellis.

The story follows Prue, whose baby brother is abducted by a murder of crows. Determined to bring him home, Prue enters a hidden magical forest known as the Wildwood. She is joined by her classmate Curtis as the two children confront the strange rules and dangers of this enchanted realm. Their journey brings them into contact with unusual creatures, dependable allies and powerful enemies.

At the centre of the threat is Alexandra, a mysterious woman who leads the crows responsible for the abduction. Prue and Curtis’s quest is therefore not simply an expedition into an unfamiliar forest: it is a rescue mission driven by Prue’s determination to save her brother from Alexandra and her flock.

The project continues LAIKA’s work in feature animation, with Knight directing after previously helming the studio’s *Kubo and the Two Strings* and *Bumblebee*.
