About Wild Hunger

Wild Hunger, Instant, designed by Karl Kopinski first released in Feb, 2012 in the set Dark Ascension and was printed exactly in 5 different ways.

Wild Hunger would be a great addition to a green/red aggressive deck looking to push through damage quickly. The +3/+1 and trample can help to deal significant damage to opponents or take out key blockers, especially when used at instant speed. While there may be other cards with similar effects, Wild Hunger's flashback ability adds extra value and flexibility to the card, making it a strong choice for decks focused on aggression and tempo plays. It should definitely see play in decks looking to apply pressure and close out games swiftly.

Rules

03/19/21

To determine the total cost of a spell, start with the mana cost or alternative cost (such as a flashback cost) you’re paying, add any cost increases, then apply any cost reductions. The converted mana cost of the spell is determined only by its mana cost, no matter what the total cost to cast the spell was.

03/19/21

You can cast a spell using flashback even if it was somehow put into your graveyard without having been cast.

03/19/21

“Flashback [cost]” means “You may cast this card from your graveyard by paying [cost] rather than paying its mana cost” and “If the flashback cost was paid, exile this card instead of putting it anywhere else any time it would leave the stack.”
