About War Elephant

War Elephant, Creature — elephant, designed by Kristen Bishop first released in Dec, 1993 in the set Arabian Nights and was printed exactly in 4 different ways.

The War Elephant card could be beneficial in a white aggro or midrange deck in Magic: The Gathering, as it provides a solid body with trample and the unique banding ability, which can be strategically advantageous in combat situations. However, in today's meta, there are more efficient and powerful cards available that offer better value for their mana cost, such as newer creatures with stronger abilities or effects. While War Elephant may have nostalgic value for some players, it may not see much competitive play due to its relatively high cost and limited impact compared to other options.

Rules

10/01/08

Creatures in the same band must all attack the same player or planeswalker.

10/01/08

If a creature with banding attacks, it can team up with any number of other attacking creatures with banding (and up to one nonbanding creature) and attack as a unit called a “band.” The band can be blocked by any creature that could block a single creature in the band. Blocking any creature in a band blocks the entire band. If a creature with banding is blocked, the attacking player chooses how the blockers’ damage is assigned.
