About Tyrant of Discord

Tyrant of Discord, Creature — elemental, designed by Richard Wright first released in May, 2012 in the set Avacyn Restored.

A deck that focuses on disrupting the opponent's board state and creating chaos would benefit from including Tyrant of Discord, as it can potentially destroy multiple nonland permanents upon entering the battlefield. While this card can be impactful in certain situations, its high mana cost and randomness may make it less reliable compared to other options like Terastodon or Ingot Chewer, which offer more targeted removal or utility. Ultimately, whether Tyrant of Discord should see play depends on the specific strategy and preferences of the deck builder.

Rules

05/01/12

If any abilities trigger while Tyrant of Discord’s enters-the-battlefield ability is resolving, those abilities will wait until the enters-the-battlefield ability finishes resolving before going on the stack. Starting with the active player, each player puts their abilities on the stack in any order.

05/01/12

Repeating the process includes the instruction to repeat the process. That is, the opponent will keep sacrificing permanents until they sacrifice a land.
