Talisman of Impulse, Artifact, designed by Mike Dringenberg first released in Oct, 2003 in the set Mirrodin and was printed exactly in 9 different ways. It see play in 2 formats: Commander and Brawl.
This Talisman of Impulse card would be beneficial in a deck that focuses on mana acceleration and color fixing for red and green spells, particularly in aggressive or midrange decks that require a variety of colors early in the game. While it provides flexibility in mana production, the drawback of dealing 1 damage to the player makes it less appealing compared to other mana rocks like Arcane Signet or Fellwar Stone, which do not have a downside. However, in decks where the damage is not a significant concern, Talisman of Impulse could still see play as a budget option for color fixing and ramp.
