A deck that focuses on controlling the board and stalling the game would benefit from including Sorin's Vengeance, as it provides a significant swing in life total while dealing a substantial amount of damage to the opponent. However, in competitive Magic: The Gathering formats, there are more efficient cards that offer similar effects, such as Exsanguinate or Torment of Hailfire, which can have a greater impact on the game. Sorin's Vengeance may not see much play in highly optimized decks due to its high mana cost and more powerful alternatives available.
