Skycloud Egg, Artifact, designed by David Martin first released in Oct, 2001 in the set Odyssey.
This Skycloud Egg card would be beneficial in a control or midrange deck that focuses on white and blue mana sources, as it provides mana fixing and card draw. However, there are better options like Azorius Signet or Arcane Signet that provide immediate mana fixing without the need to sacrifice the artifact. While Skycloud Egg could see play in budget decks or decks looking for additional card draw options, more efficient mana rocks are generally preferred in competitive Magic: the Gathering decks.

This is a mana ability, which means it can be activated as part of the process of casting a spell or activating another ability. If that happens you get the mana right away, but you don’t get to look at the drawn card until you have finished casting that spell or activating that ability.
