Skitter Eel, Creature — fish crab, designed by Mathias Kollros first released in Jan, 2019 in the set Ravnica Allegiance and was printed exactly in 3 different ways.
This Skitter Eel card could be beneficial in a blue tempo or control deck in Magic: the Gathering, as it provides a decent body that can become a threat with its adapt ability. However, there are potentially better cards for similar mana costs that offer more impactful abilities or synergies with the deck's strategy, such as Mist-Cloaked Herald for evasion or Siren Stormtamer for protection. Whether Skitter Eel should see play would depend on the specific deck's needs and goals, as it may fit well in certain strategies but could be outclassed in others.

You can always activate an ability that will cause a creature to adapt. As that ability resolves, if the creature has a +1/+1 counter on it for any reason, you simply won’t put any +1/+1 counters on it.
