About Shu Elite Companions

Shu Elite Companions, Creature — human soldier, designed by Qiao Dafu first released in May, 1999 in the set Portal Three Kingdoms and was printed exactly in 2 different ways.

This Shu Elite Companions card would be beneficial in a deck that focuses on evasion and aggressive strategies, as its horsemanship ability allows it to be difficult to block. However, in a competitive Magic: the Gathering environment, there are likely better options available for a 4 mana cost creature, such as Serra Angel or Baneslayer Angel, which offer more impactful abilities and stats for their cost. Ultimately, Shu Elite Companions may not see much play in highly optimized decks, but could still be a fun inclusion in more casual or themed decks.

Rules

10/01/09

Despite the similarities between horsemanship and flying, horsemanship doesn’t interact with flying or reach.
