About Sage of Fables

Sage of Fables, Creature — merfolk wizard, designed by Shelly Wan first released in Feb, 2008 in the set Morningtide and was printed exactly in 2 different ways. It's a key card in 4 combos.

Sage of Fables would be a valuable addition to a Wizard tribal deck in Magic: the Gathering, as it provides a consistent source of card draw and boosts the power of other Wizard creatures. While there may be other cards that offer similar effects, such as Azami, Lady of Scrolls or Adeliz, the Cinder Wind, Sage of Fables is still a strong choice for decks looking to maximize the synergy and power of Wizard creatures. Its ability to generate card advantage and increase the board presence of Wizard creatures makes it a solid inclusion in the right deck.

Rules

04/01/08

If a Wizard would normally enter the battlefield with a certain number of +1/+1 counters on it, it enters the battlefield with that many +1/+1 counters plus one on it instead. If a Wizard would normally enter the battlefield with no +1/+1 counters on it, it enters the battlefield with one +1/+1 counter on it instead.

04/01/08

The effects from more than one Sage of Fables are cumulative. That is, if you have two Sage of Fables on the battlefield, Wizard creatures you control enter the battlefield with two additional +1/+1 counters on them.
