This card, Parapet, could be beneficial in a deck focused on protecting creatures and maintaining board presence, such as a white weenie or aggro deck. However, there are potentially better options available, such as Honor of the Pure, which provides a more consistent and impactful buff to creatures. The sacrifice occurs only if you cast it using its own ability. If you cast it using some other effect (for instance, if it gained flash from Vedalken Orrery), then it won’t be sacrificed.
