Nightscape Familiar, Creature — zombie, designed by Jeff Easley first released in May, 2020 in the set Planeshift and was printed exactly in 9 different ways. It see play in 1 formats: Commander.
Nightscape Familiar would be a great addition to a Grixis (blue, black, red) control deck in Magic: the Gathering, as it reduces the cost of both blue and red spells, making it easier to cast powerful spells in those colors. While there may be other cards that offer similar cost reduction effects, Nightscape Familiar's regeneration ability adds versatility and resilience to the deck. Overall, it could see play in decks looking to optimize their mana efficiency and spellcasting capabilities.

If a spell is both blue and red, you pay less, not less.
10/04/04
If this card is sacrificed to pay part of a spell’s cost, the cost reduction still applies.
10/04/04
The lower cost is not optional like with some other cost reducers.
10/04/04
This can lower the cost to zero, but not below zero.
