Marrow-Gnawer, Legendary creature — rat rogue, designed by Wayne Reynolds first released in May, 2020 in the set Champions of Kamigawa and was printed exactly in 8 different ways. It see play in 1 formats: Commander. It's a key card in 6 combos.
A deck focused on tribal Rat creatures would benefit from including Marrow-Gnawer, as it can generate a significant number of Rat tokens and provide evasion with fear. However, there are better cards for token generation in black, such as Bitterblossom or Endrek Sahr, Master Breeder, which may offer more consistent value. Marrow-Gnawer could see play in a casual Rat-themed deck for fun and flavor, but in competitive settings, other options may be more efficient.

Marrow-Gnawer’s ability counts the number of Rats on the battlefield when it resolves, so you don’t count the sacrificed Rat.
