About Lantern Scout

Lantern Scout, Creature — human scout ally, designed by Steven Belledin first released in Oct, 2015 in the set Battle for Zendikar Promos and was printed exactly in 2 different ways.

AI: Lantern Scout would be a valuable addition to a white weenie or ally tribal deck in Magic: the Gathering, providing a powerful lifelink boost to your creatures when allies enter the battlefield. While Lantern Scout is a solid choice for such decks, there are potentially better options like Resolute Blademaster, which offers a similar effect with a higher power and toughness, making it a more impactful threat on the board. However, Lantern Scout could still see play in the right deck for its synergy with ally-focused strategies.

Rules

08/25/15

If a creature with a rally ability enters the battlefield under your control at the same time as other Allies, that ability will trigger once for each of those creatures and once for the creature with the ability itself.

08/25/15

multiple instances of lifelink on the same creature are redundant. There usually isn’t much benefit in having the rally ability resolve more than once in a turn, other than that new creatures will be affected by the ability resolving an additional time.
