Golden Hind can be a valuable addition to a green mana ramp deck in Magic: the Gathering, as it provides a consistent source of green mana acceleration. However, there are more efficient mana dorks like Llanowar Elves or Elvish Mystic that can provide the same effect for the same cost without the need to tap the creature.
