Spider-Man: Brand New Day

Spider-Man: Brand New Day is the announced fourth solo film starring Tom Holland as Peter Parker within the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures revealed the title in 2025, with the film scheduled for release on July 31, 2026. The project follows Spider-Man: No Way Home, which reached cinemas in December 2021 and ended with a major change to Peter’s life: Doctor Strange’s spell caused the world to forget Peter Parker’s identity, including people who had known and loved him. Destin Daniel Cretton is directing Brand New Day. The preceding films established his progression from a teenager recruited by Tony Stark into an experienced hero forced to confront personal consequences. No Way Home left Peter living alone and unknown to his former friends, creating a very different starting point from the high-school setting of Homecoming. The title recalls “Brand New Day,” a major Spider-Man comic-book storyline published by Marvel in 2008 after the controversial “One More Day” story. In the comics, Peter’s life and continuity were reshaped after a supernatural bargain. The film’s title may invite comparisons, but Marvel has not confirmed that the movie will directly adapt that storyline. Specific plot details, the principal villain, and the full cast have not been publicly established through a complete official synopsis. The production is also notable because it comes after Holland’s three previous Spider-Man appearances led by Jon Watts. Homecoming introduced Peter’s independent MCU franchise in 2017, Far From Home followed the aftermath of Avengers: Endgame in 2019, and No Way Home became a multiverse event involving earlier live-action Spider-Man films. Brand New Day therefore begins with an unusual combination of certainty and mystery: its lead actor, director, writers, studio partnership, title, and release date are known, while the story’s direction remains deliberately undisclosed.
