Vile Redeemer, Creature — eldrazi, designed by Jason Rainville first released in Jan, 2016 in the set Oath of the Gatewatch Promos and was printed exactly in 3 different ways.
This card would be beneficial in a sacrifice-themed deck that focuses on sacrificing creatures to generate value. It can be particularly strong in decks that have ways to sacrifice multiple creatures in a single turn, allowing for a potentially large number of Eldrazi Scion tokens to be created. While Vile Redeemer has its strengths, there may be better options available depending on the specific strategy of the deck, such as cards that provide more immediate impact or synergy with other cards in the deck. Ultimately, whether Vile Redeemer should see play would depend on the overall game plan and synergy within the deck.

Vile Redeemer’s last ability will count any nontoken creature that died while under your control, even if you weren’t the creature’s owner. It doesn’t matter where the card is as the ability resolves. It doesn’t have to still be in a graveyard.
