Thelonite Hermit, Creature — elf shaman, designed by Chippy first released in Oct, 2006 in the set Time Spiral and was printed exactly in 8 different ways.
Thelonite Hermit would be a great addition to a green token or creature-based deck in Magic: the Gathering, providing a significant boost to Saproling creatures. While there may be more efficient cards for generating tokens or providing buffs, the Hermit's ability to create four Saproling tokens upon being turned face up can be a powerful tempo swing. Depending on the specific strategy of the deck, Thelonite Hermit could definitely see play.

Because damage remains marked on a creature until the damage is removed as the turn ends, nonlethal damage dealt to a Saproling may become lethal if Thelonite Hermit leaves the battlefield during that turn.
